Like a mini-version of the Frost Line Parka, the Frost Smoke has been another Montbell Parka that I essentially lived in right from the box. It’s just enough warmth for all of my outdoor adventures in the spring as well as my go-to around town coat here in the Pacific Northwest. I even took it on a February trip to Arizona and found it to be the perfect layer while running and hiking throughout Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Comfort, packability, and excellent warmth to weight ratio define this down layering piece. It will certainly be the perfect insulating layer for long, mountain trips and thru-hikes.
