This reversible down parka boasts a generous urban cut and value oriented performance details making it ideal for light duty trekking, leisure travel, or the daily commute. We maximize the effectiveness of the insulation by sandwiching the down between two layers of lightweight nylon, then adding a third layer of more durable nylon. All of the fabrics utilized are tightly woven and extremely resistant to wind helping you to hold on to the heat your body naturally produces. With the use of different fabrics and a quilted or smooth face you get two very distinct looks; town or trail. The Colorado Parka is well suited to active travelers that require warmth, value, and versatility.

Maximum Heat Retention

Three Layer Construction
Two layers of fabric are stitched together using sewn through construction. An additional outer layer is applied to create a wind resistant garment with exceptional heat retention.

Down Sourcing

At Montbell, we source down from both the European and Chinese markets to satisfy a variety of characteristics (supply/availability, low cost, consistent quality, humane practices, etc.) and maintain our lofty standards. Every season we seek to balance the superior quality for which we are known and the lowest possible raw materials cost. We change down sourcing companies frequently to insure that our customers have access to superior products at the lowest price possible. In the course of these efforts, Montbell never purchases down from operations that practice “live-plucking” methods. We only utilize down plumes and feathers collected as a by-product of water fowl raised to meet the demands of the food industry.

We will continue to look for sources of down that maximize value to our customers and allow Montbell products to perform at the highest level.
