Artist Information / Mitsuo Nakamura
Nakamura was born in Tokyo in 1953. He showed an interest in climbing and the outdoors in his teens. He has traveled in the Himalayas, the Swiss Alps and the Patagonia region of South America. As a freelance artist and illustrator, his work appears in magazine and ads. He bases most of his work on travel and nature and has many books published in Japan. He is also a member of the Japanese Alpine Club.
